“SGEM KOREA 2022” Exhibition – AL ZAMAN GROUP (Changwon)

Smart & Green Energy Maritime Korea 2022, Changwon (Republic of Korea)

Changwon City held the 2022 Smart Green Energy International Shipbuilding and Marine Industry Exhibition, co-hosted by Gyeongnam Province, and cities including Tongyeong, Gimhae, and Geoje, etc at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO) from the 5th to the 7th of December.

This exhibition was first held in 2006 and it takes place once every two years and this was the 9th exhibition to be held in Changwon.Previously this event was known as “International Shipbuilding and Maritime Exhibition” amid the green industrialization, starting this year, the name of the event has been changed to “Smart & Green Energy Maritime”

For 3 days, more than 136 companies from 14 counties participated in this event and 310 booths were used to display the crafts of modern Shipbuilding and Energy sectors.

We at AL Zaman Group have a “strategic” plan and it’s called doing things, so to immediately reflect the global shipbuilding & marine industry trend and secure a long-term driving force, we participated in this event with sincere intentions to address the worldwide green energy concerns.

AZG is an Iraqi group of companies spread across the globe. AZG is the one and only Iraqi company to participate in such event and represent the Iraqi flag. AZG specially invited Iraq Embassy in Seoul, Republic of Korea) to it’s booth at SGEM Korea 2022 in Changwon. Mr Muthana Alumayri, Deputy Head of the Mission attended this event to represent Iraqi foreign mission. Mr Muthana Alumayri appreciated AZG’s efforts and applauded AZG’s achievements in different walks of life.

Recently after signing MoU with K-Marine for the manufacturing of Hovercrafts, AZG will be soon start the process of installing a factory and related facilities in Iraq. AZG also plans to establish an R&D institute at the same time. CEO K-Marine (Mr. Thomas Lee) also visited AZG’s booth at SGEM Korea 2022 on the day one of the exhibition (5th Dec 2022). Head of the AZG presented CEO K-Marine (Mr. Thomas Lee) with a plaque as a sign of appreciation for his efforts.
