International Interchange Development Association (IIDA) of Republic of Korea and AL Zaman Group (AZG) of the Republic of Iraq signed a Partnership Agreement for the formation of Korea Iraq Business Council (KIBC) on 06 December 2022, in the city of Changwon, Republic of Korea.
Mr Muthana Alumayri (Deputy Head of the Mission – Embassy of the Republic of Iraq – Seoul) witnessed the Signing Ceremony of this Partnership Agreement as a special guest. Mr Muthana Alumayri expressed appreciation and delivered kind regards on behalf of Embassy for the efforts made to establish KIBC.
AZG will conduct the operations of Korea Iraq Business Council locally in Iraq.
IIDA and AZG will combine their efforts to support the development and operations of KIBC. The main purposes of KIBC will include exchange and communication between Iraqi and Korean companies, environmental and educational improvements, cultural development.
KIBC will play the role of a bridge between Iraqi government, non-government organizations and Korean companies and institutes for resolving any conflicts or negotiations to assure win-win situation for both sides.
AZG wants to make sure that technological, educational, cultural and social exchange takes place with the help of KIBC in both the countries. KIBC will not only work for Business or Economy related activities but also take part in Social, Cultural and especially Humanitarian causes.
This Partnership Agreement for the formation of Korea Iraq Business Council is first of it’s kind in both countries. This event dragged attention of local newspaper and media agencies as well.
On the day of Signing Ceremony, AZG organized a special lunch for the chief guest from Iraq Embassy in Seoul, President IIDA and other prestigious guests.
We believe that formation of KIBC will open a gate of cultural exchange and economic prosperity between Korea and Iraq.
