AL Zaman Group for Shipbuilding (AZG) participated in MADEX 2023 from 7th to 9th of June 2023 in Busan, South Korea.
AZG recently signed Partnership Agreement with Military Industrialization Corporation / State Company for Military Industries (SCMI) for construction and operation of a factory in Iraq for manufacturing, assembly and maintenance of military boats and marine units.
To act upon the Partnership Agreement with Iraqi State Military Industries AZG signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Human Heavy Industries for construction of military boats and transfer of technology to Iraq on 8th of June (Thu) at BEXCO Exhibition Center.
The signing ceremony was also witnessed by Mr. Sharif, First Secretary – Iraqi Embassy Seoul and Mr. Mun, Chairman IIDA (International Interchange Development Association).
Mr. Park Hee-Joon (Senior Managing Director) signed the MoU on behalf of Human Heavy Industries.
Followed by signing ceremony CEO AZG presented Mr. Park with a special plaque representing Iraqi culture and history to mark this great occasion.
A lunch was organized for the honorable guests on the 2nd day of Exhibition. CEO AZG and other honorable guests including, Mr. Sharif, First Secretary – Iraqi Embassy, Seoul and Mr. Mun, Chairman IIDA congratulated both parties upon signing MoU and delivered best wishes for future projects.
Iraqi Embassy appreciated the dedication of AZG for their continuous presence in South Korea and the recognized the work done by AZG for development of manufacturing industry in Iraq.
A plaque of appreciation was presented by CEO AZG to Mr. Sharif to honor the time and presence of Iraqi Embassy in Seoul.
