Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC), an initiative of the Pakistan Navy is being organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs from 10-12 February 2023 in order to jumpstart the development of the maritime sector in Pakistan and spur Blue Economy.
PIMEC 2023 was held at Expo Center Karachi from 10th to 12th February. The premier Maritime Expo and Conference of Pakistan “𝐏𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑” was officially inaugurated on 10th February 2023 at Expo Centre Karachi by Foreign Minister, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
AL Zaman Group participated in this global event to showcase its products and one platform services. AZG took part in PIMEC 2023 with intentions of investment, production and collaboration in the fields of Port Operations, Shipbuilding, renewable energy generation, environmental protection and marine engineering equipment.
Currently acting as Secretary MoDP (Ministry of Defence Production) Lt Gen Humayun Aziz, (Retd) specially visited AZG’s booth and praised the achievements, ambitions and goals of AZG.
Syed Feroz Shah advisor to Prime Minister Pakistan, a member of Board of Investment had discussions with CEO AZG regarding future scope and business opportunities in Pakistan.
Iraqi Military Attache to Pakistan also attended this event and visited AZG’s booth. He recognized the struggles of AZG undertaken to hoist the Iraqi flag in such an event.
Many other Pakistani and international government officials as well as military officials visited AZG’s booth and appreciated the efforts and determination of AZG to support global causes and promote business in the region. AZG presented plaques of appreciation and shields to the visitors of booth.
Military Attaches to Pakistan from different countries including Qatar, KSA, Kuwait, South Korea, Sudan etc also showed deep interest in AZG’s activities in the region and visited the booth.
AZG also held meetings with stakeholders and important delegates to ensure its presence in Pakistani Maritime Industry.
Looking at AZG’s booth in PIMEC 2023, many media organizations also showed their interest and tried to know more about the group.
The prestigious occasion was graced by the respectable Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi – Chief of Naval Staff, Syed Murad Ali Shah- Chief Minister of Sindh and Mr. Faisal Sabzwari – Minister of Maritime Affairs and other government & private stakeholders and dignitaries.
