Al Zaman Group Facilitates IMO E-Publications Access for Arabian Gulf Academy in Coordination with ISMA and IBBC Maritime Committee
As part of its continued commitment to strengthening the maritime sector and advancing professional training in Iraq, Al Zaman Group (AZG) has successfully facilitated access to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) E-Publications Portal for the Arabian Gulf Academy, in close coordination with the Iraqi Supreme Maritime Authority (ISMA) and the Maritime Committee of the Iraq–Britain Business Council (IBBC).
This initiative follows an official meeting held at ISMA headquarters on 23 September 2025, during which discussions focused on the provision of IMO educational curricula and model courses to support academic and professional maritime training in Iraq.
In line with the agreement reached during that meeting, AZG completed all necessary procedures to secure full access to the IMO E-Publications platform. The associated costs were fully covered by the Al Zaman Group, as a gesture of goodwill and a strategic contribution toward the development of maritime education and capacity building in Iraq.
On 30 November 2025, a delegation from Al Zaman Group visited ISMA headquarters and held a joint meeting with ISMA officials and representatives of the Arabian Gulf Academy. During the session, AZG delivered a comprehensive theoretical and practical presentation on how to utilize the IMO portal, navigate its digital system, and access the latest IMO Model Courses, training resources, and official publications.
The official login credentials for the IMO portal will be handed over in person to ISMA through AZG’s team, ensuring secure and direct access for the Arabian Gulf Academy.
This milestone reflects Al Zaman Group’s broader vision to support capacity building, digital transformation, and international compliance within Iraq’s maritime sector. Through its collaboration with ISMA and the IBBC Maritime Committee, AZG continues to play an active role in aligning Iraq’s maritime education with global best practices.
